What is Equity Release?

If you are 55 or over and you own your own home, you could qualify for an equityrelease plan and unlock a lump sum from your property to help you enjoy the retirement you want.

The value of your home, minus any outstanding mortgage or any other lendingsecured on it, can be described as your ‘equity’. An equity release plan enableshomeowners like you to unlock some of this value as tax-free cash.

Because the funds are yours in the first place you’re simply just ‘releasing’ them. The money you receive is tax-free and can be spent on anything you like.

Our Process

01

Free No Obligation Meeting

The first meeting is FREE. At this stage we cover two main areas. Firstly we go through with you the “Initial Discussion Document” which covers all the regulatory items that we need to explain to you  as required by the regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority. Secondly we complete a “Confidential Mortgage Enquiry Form” to establish your current position and to gain a clear idea of what you wish to achieve.

02

The Search

Following this, and only when you are happy to proceed, we would then  be able to source for you at our office the best  available mortgage package for you by using our “Mortgage Sourcing System”.

03

The Decision

The second meeting would then be scheduled with you in order for us to give you our advice and make our recommendations to you based on your needs.
If you then accept the proposal we would then proceed by completing a Full Application on your behalf to the chosen lender.

All meetings can be done either face to face or by telephone depending on your circumstances.
